Zoom has launched its Zoom Apps feature, allowing users to integrate third-party apps directly into their Zoom meetings. This integration aims to streamline collaboration and productivity during virtual meetings by providing easy access to various apps.
Diverse Range of Apps
Zoom Apps cover a broad spectrum of categories, including whiteboard, project management, note-taking, and even video games. With over 1,500 third-party integrations available through the Zoom App Marketplace, users have access to a wide array of tools to enhance their meeting experience.
Some notable apps include Asana for creating in-meeting action items, Dot Collector for real-time feedback and polling, and Dropbox Spaces for collaborative workspaces. Additionally, Wellness That Works by WW offers push notifications to encourage users to take breaks and stretch during meetings. Users can also enjoy games like Heads Up! by Ellen DeGeneres.
How to Access and Use Zoom Apps
To access Zoom Apps, users need to follow these simple steps:
- Ensure you have the latest version of Zoom installed.
- Open Zoom and navigate to the Apps section from the bottom bar of the screen.
- Zoom Apps will appear on the right side of the screen.
- Click on “Discover” to explore the available Zoom Apps.
Zoom Apps can also be accessed directly from the toolbar during Zoom meetings. However, admins need to enable this feature from the account settings for it to be visible to users.
Additionally, users can explore and add their favorite apps from the app marketplace, which will then be accessible under the “My Apps” section during Zoom meetings.
Zoom Events and Expanded Offerings
In addition to Zoom Apps, Zoom has made its Zoom Events platform widely available. This platform offers a range of tools for hosting virtual events, including the ability to sell tickets directly through Zoom Events.
With the introduction of Zoom Apps and the expansion of Zoom Events, Zoom continues to evolve its platform to meet the diverse needs of users, providing enhanced functionality and flexibility for virtual collaboration and events.
